On 2nd March in a small district Dumka, Jharkhand, 7 boys attacked their camp and did the gang rape of her wife. Her husband was badly beaten by them when he was trying to push them back. The video went viral where they shared the incident and asked for the justice.
After this incident, Jharkhand police came into the action and arrested them. Police ensured them that they will give punishment according to law.

It is the story of a female doctor of RG Kar Medical College who was performing her duty. She was working non-stop from the past 36hrs and decided to take rest in seminar room at 2A.M. in the morning.
Nobody had idea about ‘Abhaya’. When the people started searching her out in the morning, they found her dead in naked condition (as per media sources).
Doctors and her parents started protesting against the unaccountability of ‘RG Kar Medical College’ and demanding for justice. The protests have seen not only in India but also across the nation. People are comparing this case to the ‘Nirbhaya case’, happened in 2012.
Kolkata Police has failed to handle the case. CBI was appointed for further investigation and Supreme Court of India has intervene directly to punish the culprits as soon as possible.

Assam rape case
On 22August, 2024, Three young boys did a gang rape of 14 year old girl in a small district Nagaon, Assam. When this news came to police, they had taken the action immediately and caught all of 3 culprits.
When Police had asked all of them to reach the crime scene, one of the culprit escaped from the clutches of police and jumped into the pond. That accused died not knowing swimming.
Assam CM Hemanta sharma said,” We should strengthen the laws for the safety purpose of women. Government should be more aggressive and actionable”.
