We will be celebrating 78th of Independence Day this year under governance of PM Modi.
India got the independence from British rulers on 15th August,1947. It marked the end of Britishers and born of Independent India.
There were a lot of Leaders who played major role during the Independence struggle. We have seen Gandhi’s influence, Subhashchandra Bose Army and the sacrifice of Bhagat Singh.
India’s Independence is not just a historical event but a symbol of resilience and unity with mulitple aspirations.
History of India’s Independence
During 1940’s, Winston Churchill Labour Party decided to ‘break-up’ his British Empire and transfer the power to India by 30th June, 1948.But on 4th July,1947, India’s Independence Bill was introduced and the bill was passed successfully on 18h of July. It laid down August 15th as the date for the transfer of power from the United Kingdom to Inida.
Independence Day Theme 2024
The theme of Independence day this year is ‘Viksit Bharat’, celebrating a developed and self-reliant India. The ‘Viksit Bharat’ theme describes the development and the progress of the nation from 1947 to 2047.Dr. Jaishankar described the pathway of achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat’. Dr Jaishankar said, “Viksit Bharat reuires a vision for the nation, the understanding of the world and a major and strong leadership that could run the nation for the desired outcomes.
Key points of Modi’s speech last year
Last year, Pm Modi shared ‘Modi 5 year guarantee’ for making India more developed.Firstly, Modi promised that India will achieve the goal of becoming world’s third largest Economy.
Secondly, PM Modi his belief that During the ‘Amrit Kaal’, India will emerge as the Developed Nation in the world till 20247.
Thirdly, PM Modi promised that they will encourage females to perform well in subjects like ‘STEM ( Science, Tech, Engineering and Mathmatics ).
